Candee recently wrote and produced a short film, The Hole in the Fence. Two warring neighbors of different social status battle over the paternity of his pregnant dog, only to discover their kids have hooked up. (Yes, the hole in the fence was larger than they thought.)  Candee and the rest of the crew are now busy editing it.

Inspiration for the script was a pure bred bullmastiff dog named Tillie.  She and her mixed breed puppies were dumped by her breeder at a pound.  Scheduled for euthanasia because of a cyst on her back , the dog rescue group insisted they could find Tillie a good home also. The vet who removed Tillie's cyst postulated it was caused from being kept in too small a cage.   Now owned by Rusty and Vicki Chisholm, Tillie is 95 pounds of slobbering love.

We filmed it with local, seasoned actors. Rick Montgomery, Jr.  www.imdb.com/name/nm1353826 has many credits in film and stage and just wrapped up a gig in Pittsburgh for Warrior. Claudia Esposito, www.agencyprotalent.com/ckespo, also has credits in theatre and film and complimented Rick's performance and Barry DeBois, www.barrydebois.com, who just appeared in Rent at the Players Guild Theatre in Canton, OH.

The film team also consisted of Launa Buettell, www.mainstreammusic.com (sound engineer, location manager, camera), Katey Gula of Gula Productions (director and actress), Ben Craig (director of photography) and Vicki Chisholm (production assistant).

We'll keep you posted on our progress.
